Sometimes beasts are better than men, it's true,
One parent raises five with love so true—
Yet five grown hearts may coldly turn away,
And let their elder weep alone each day.
The soul who walks not close with #Jesus near,
Forgives not, speaks no hope, nor holds what's dear—
He cannot honor father, mother’s name,
For love without the Lord is just a flame.
So here’s my prayer, in grace and light we stand:
That child and parent, heart in heart, hand in hand,
Might love beyond the storm and circumstance,
And in each other, give true love a chance.
"The most unreasonable judgment for parents to receive is from ungrateful children who blame their parents for their own inability to make the best of the opportunities in their own lives. Although one has no control over the actions of others, a parent will always take rejection by their children personally and deeply to heart. Children, pull your fingers out of your behinds and honor your parents until we are reunited in Heaven."
