We Are All Climbing the Ladder of life

We are all in the process of climbing a ladder. When you look up, you may envy those who appear more successful, wealthier, or more prosperous than you.

In reality, you're in a race only with yourself. Enjoy who you are. Appreciate and be grateful for the talents and gifts you’ve received from your Creator, and never believe someone else’s life is better than your own.

When you look down, you’ll notice many others looking up to you—people who wish to be where you are, or to have what you possess. Never look down on anyone with disdain, and don’t see yourself as inferior to others either. Always stay positive, encourage others, and share what you have.

It’s better to lift others up than to tear them down.

And if you can't say something positive about someone, rather say nothing at all.

My personal motto is to find the best and most positive trait in every person I meet—regardless of their age or life experience. If I can, I try to adopt that trait for myself. If I can't, I compliment the person and move on with my life.

We can only improve ourselves each day, becoming a better version of who we were yesterday.

My second motto is to accept that I have no control over what others say about me. Accept criticism and apply it without emotional reaction.

Thirdly, understand that we have no control over our circumstances. Leave your hope, strength, and direction in the hands of your Creator, and ask the Holy Spirit for guidance in all your actions. Fear of the Lord - that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding.

I thank the Lord for opening my eyes. May my behavior and actions be a light to help grow our Christian family.

Amen!
